#DropTheApps
why irl exists.
The problem

IRL is a real, in-person social event for people who are done with dating apps.
It's easy to forget that meeting someone used to just… happen. You showed up, someone caught your eye, and a conversation started. Now we outsource all of that to an algorithm, and most of the time, it leads nowhere.
The swiping is exhausting. The matches pile up. The conversations fizzle out before they ever leave the app, and the dates that do happen rarely feel like they're going anywhere. People aren't burned out on meeting someone. They're burned out on the version of it that lives on a screen.
Presented by J-Dubb Lifestyle & Dating, IRL is the antidote. Show up, meet high-end, quality individuals face to face, and let a real night out do what a profile never could. No profile required.
The founder

the face behind irl.
IRL is run by J-Dubb, a Toronto-based dating coach and the founder of the E.A.S.Y. Protocol, his own method for helping people get better at the one thing the apps keep promising and never quite deliver: actually meeting someone.
He coaches clients one-on-one through J-Dubb Lifestyle & Dating, and he's won a dating show on the Rizz Academy YouTube channel. He's seen how people meet from both sides of the screen.
IRL came out of the same frustration his clients kept describing: good people, endlessly swiping, meeting nobody. So instead of telling them to go find a better room, he built one.
The night

What to expect when you walk in.
You arrive, you check in, and you're in a room full of other singles who showed up for the exact same reason. Everyone there chose to be there, in person, on purpose.
The format is a casual mixer: room to move, people to talk to, a vibe that's relaxed enough to actually start a conversation. Come as you are: casual works, dressed-up works. It's one night, and it's whatever you make of it.
We're not going to over-promise the specifics, because the best nights aren't scripted. What we can promise: a real room, real people, and zero swiping.
